Empties #1

I’ve been wanting to do an empties post for a while, but I just hate photographing bulk products that are empty and look awful from being in the shower cabin for more than a month. But I really love watching vlogs and blogs on empties, I think it’s a great way to showcase some products that perhaps didn’t make it in a full article, but still deserve a mention. Or maybe you were wondering about something and it’s here in the list.. I’m not really up for the whole vlog thing, so let me just write it down. I added some special effects to the pictures to make it more bearable, whaddyathink? You’ll find a list of emptied products & how I feel about them and if I would repurchase below & in between the pictures. Keep in mind that this is quite a few months worth of products.. I had these piling up in a big shopping bag in my laundry room.. Oops! I won’t wait this long to do another empties post again.. So be ready for a long post!

Body Products:
Le Petit Marseillais Shower Oil with Fleur d’Orange: I repurchase these again and again, I love switching scents in the shower.
Le Petit Marseillais Shower Cream with Olive Milk: Same comment as above.
Nivea Under The Shower Body Lotion: Although I liked the novelty of the product, I don’t think it’s quite economical as you have to use a lot of the product for the desired effect. Not sure if I would ever repurchase this.
Organic Surge Tropical Bergamot Body Lotion: I really liked this body lotion! It smelled great and it did a great job moisturizing. Bought this on Zalando but they don’t stock the brand anymore.. Such a bummer.
Kiehl’s Whipped Body Cream: LOVED this! Super rich, super yummy smell and awesome texture. I really like the limited edition versions of this one. Will repurchase if I ever finish all the body creams/lotions/butters I still have stocked up.

Last year’s Summer Products I tossed:
Biosolis Sun Milk SPF15:
I liked this one since it’s organic, but I would repurchase this one with a higher SPF since SPF15 really just isn’t enough.
Corine De Farme Dry Oil SPF30: Liked it + it had a great smell, but I’m more of a milk fan.
MAC Prep + Prime Face Protect Visage SPF50: Like this one a lot! I would definitely repurchase this one. One little remark: I don’t like the packaging of it. You just don’t get the last bits of products out of it!
Biotherm Lait Solaire SPF30: This one smelled really good (like citrus!) so I would repurchase this one since I’m all about scents.
L’Oréal Solar Expertise Sensitive SPF30: Won’t repurchase this year.. I went for La Roche-Posay and Avène this year since they’re more suitable for sensitive skin.

Hair Products:
Naked Detox Peppermint & Sorrel Leaf 2 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioner: LOVE this to thoroughly clean my hair every two or three weeks. Have repurchased.
Yes To Cucumbers Daily Makeover Shampoo: However much I love the brand, the texture of the products & the smell.. This one made my scalp flaky, so it’s a definite no for me.
Yes To Carrots Daily Makeover Shampoo: Same comment as above.
Yes To Carrots Daily Pampering Conditioner: Like the conditioner of this brand & I would definitely repurchase this one whenever I’d need a light weight daily conditioner. However I’ve got so many products laying around, that a repurchase might still be quite far away..
Nivea Hydro Care Shampoo: This is one of the best budget shampoo’s I’ve ever come across! Will definitely repurchase.

Make-up Products:
Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes Kit: Really enjoyed using this one and discovered Boi-Ing through this. Dried up completely now though and am very sad to have to toss this..
Benefit You’re Bluffing: I’ve had good use out of this one as it does a great job concealing redness, but I don’t really tackle redness with a separate concealer anymore, so I probably won’t repurchase.
NYC High Definition Liquid Eyeliner: I loved this one, but it dried up SO fast! Won’t repurchase just for that reason.
MAC Select Moisture Cover NC23: Loved using this while it still was my color. Perfect to use under the eyes & comes in certain shades that fit right in between MAC’s regular shade range. Will repurchase I think, if I don’t fall in love too hard with NARS’s creamy concealer.
YSL Shocking Mascara Volume: Great mascara, but there’s nothing super special about it that makes me want to repurchase it.
Babypowder: I used to use this under the eyes instead of the Benefit Powderflage which is discontinued, but of course it dried my skin like crazy. I was young and reckless at the time, but still had this bottle in my cabinet for some reason. Gone it is now!

Skin care products:
Vichy Normaderm Purifying Cleansing Gel: I use this together with a Konjac Sponge on my chest and back and I have been loving it! It’s formulated with salicylic acid to tackle blemishes. Have already repurchased a duo pack of this one.
Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S. Thirst Quenching Serum: The single best serum for my skin that I’ve ever tried. Brings back moisture in my skin without being sticky or greasy. Will repurchase.
Babor Skinovage Vitabalance Oxygen Energizing Cream: Liked the smell of this cream a lot and it was quite rich, which made this one more suitable for night times for me. As much as I did like it, I don’t like it enough to repurchase. Doesn’t match my skin perfectly.
Etat Pur B38 Ultra-Moisturizing Care: Got this one when I didn’t understand my skin quite enough. Used it as a night treatment which was great, but it was a little too rich I think. This was great for my skin to recover from the cold winter weather, but I won’t be repurchasing.
Caudalie Beauty Elixir: A strong toner that is much raved about and is used by Victoria Beckham. I just had to try it & I really liked it. I have a new & bigger bottle now to test it more thoroughly.
Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream: Really liked this 99% natural eye cream which I got for free in a UK mag. Sadly the brand isn’t sold here, so for now I won’t be repurchasing.
Etat Pur A20 Zinc Gluconate: I really liked this extra care for my skin, which I used to tackle blackheads. I got rid of most of the blackheads on my chin using this supplemental care together with the Salicylic Acid 70 one.
Lush Angels On Bare Skin: Loved this natural facial scrub and will definitely repurchase when I’ve finished my other facial scrubs. I loved the smell, the feeling of the product and the great results.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner: I’m still not sure whether I like this one better than the Ultra Facial Oil-Free toner. Either way, I enjoyed using this one and will definitely repurchase either one of the Kiehl’s toners. I’m still using up the oil-free one.
La Roche-Posay Micellar Solution for Sensitive Skin: I really liked this micellar water and especially liked the handy pump that came with it. Will probably repurchase whenever I run out of Bioderma before having visited France, since Bioderma is really expensive here and LRP isn’t.
Nuxe Micellar Cleanser Water with 3 Roses & Green Tea: It did a great job, but I didn’t like the overpowering rose scent. Will not repurchase.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream: This one isn’t mine, but I just wanted to emphasize that this is a great light-weight but very moisturizing day cream for dry skin types. You’ll need something thicker during winter (think Avène’s day cream for very dry skin), but during summer this is perfect!

Whew, I hope you got through this one! Seen any of the products you like or dislike? I’m so happy I get to throw all of this stuff away finally! What a crazy idea, right? Keeping empty packaging.. But it was worth it :)
