Tom Ford's Atelier d'Orient

A small while ago I was invited to discover Tom Ford's upcoming perfume release Atelier d’Orient. Tom Ford Beauty has always been known for the aura of luxury surrounding the products (did I already tell you about my infatuation with the Tom Ford bronzer brush? I keep holding off buying it until I find a perfect reason to get it, it costs a massive 80 pounds), and this release is no different. These luxury perfumes that come in the signature Private Blend bottles - inspired by Asia - would be the perfect gift for a perfume lover, or just perfect for spoiling yourself if you’re willing to spend something (okay, not just something but a whole bunch) extra on a treat.

Tom Ford wanted to capture different facets of Asia, exploring Asia’s fusion of cultures & influences, using the region’s most precious ingredients. He created an artisanal collection that captures the qualities of Asia & displays four moods: romance, elegance, exoticism & sensuality. There are four luxurious fragrances in this collection: Fleur De Chine, Rive d’Ambre, Plum Japonais & Shanghai Lily. The bottles are made of a cognac-brown glass and are shaped in the signature Private Blend bottles. Pictured are the small sizes (50ml). The press display wooden box is so gorgeous too, although this one is probably not for sale even though it would make a very nice gift if you could afford it. Rive d’Ambre is by far my favorite of the bunch: so deliciously fresh with a citrusy scent (bergamot, lemon & bitter orange oils) & a warm amber background. It’s very wearable and fits my breezy choice in perfumes perfectly.

Tom Ford’s Atelier d’Orient is available now in Heathrow Airport, and will be available elsewhere from September on. The 50ml bottles retail for €180, while the 250ml bottles retail for €430.
