An early Christmas gift for myself: Crazy Pearls Météorites by Guerlain

Last week-end didn’t exactly start well & I needed a serious pick-me-up. I got up early in the morning on Saturday, took a pampering shower with the best products I could find (Philosophy Christmas goodness, a Shu Uemura hair mask & a fragrant body scrub), had a long & lovely indulgent breakfast and then went out for some light shopping. You know how much I absolutely love Guerlain & especially their Météorites.. So you’ve probably already guessed that I couldn’t resist buying the new limited edition tub of Crazy Pearls from the Crazy Paris collection.

This Winter’s edition is all about adding a healthy rosy glow to tired Winter skin. The packaging is quite different than what we’re used to with Guerlain: it’s very playful & modern looking with the words  “Champs-Élysées” written on the sides in vibrant flashy colours. The theme this year is “Crazy Paris”; an hommage to the renovated House of Guerlain at 68 Champs Elysees. This tub features a completely new combination of pearls with 6 vibrant colours: beige, lavender, white, gold, a hot pink & a soft pink. The finish is as beautiful as the other Météorites powers: I use it all over my face to finish and set my whole make-up look and it blends everything together perfectly. It leaves a gorgeous soft glow that is nearly undetectable, but makes a clear difference. For me, it’s indispensable in my make-up routine..

..which is quite obvious when you see the little collection of Guerlain Météorites I’ve acquired in the past couple of years. I use them daily and love each and every version! The limited edition Emilio Pucci one is halfway through now and features quite a lot of blue pearls aimed at complexion correction. The Perles Du Dragon are from last year’s Christmas collection and feature beige, plum and golden shades. The smallest pink container (which was a gift by my sweet colleague) comes closest to the Crazy Paris pearls: i’s an airport exclusive and contains the regular pearls in Teint Rose, I believe.

I actually wanted to buy the pressed Crazy Paris Météorites Radiance Power this year, but they were already sold out at my local Guerlain counter.. So I took it as a sign and stayed true to my usual pearls. And I’m happy I did! If you’re after these as well, I’d be really quick about it since the collection is bound to sell out before Christmas. The Crazy Pearls retail for €48,00 and contain a whopping 30 grams that’ll last you at least a year with daily use.
