RiRi ♥ MAC for the holidays: the final collection

Eek, this last RiRi  M.A.C Cosmetics collection is already out and I’m a bit behind with showing you these. I blame busy weekends, the sun that messed with my pictures and.. shopping? Anyway, it’s time for the final full collection made by Rihanna. It almost felt like a bit of an overload, but some of the products are so pretty that I’ll gladly let it pass. Because dear RiRi, your red is the prettiest of reds I’ve ever seen.

It’s the first collection that also holds a nail polish in the divine shade RiRi Woo, a color we all fell in love with from the first collection on. The lipstick is a part of the collection again, but in a special Holiday attire. I have no picture of the Holiday packaging, but added the picture I took of my lips sporting Riri Woo for reference. It’s gorgeous and I think the best red I own.

The nail polish is very close to the lipstick color (although it is not matte!) and a nice staple red for anyone who likes to sport red nails. The applicator does get a little messy as it takes too much product, so be sure to pat some of the excess off your brush. It’s a one-coater, so that’s a big plus for anyone with a lack of patience and a love for nice nails.

Last up is the Superslick Eyeliner in Cockiness, a very festive and super glittery bronze/yellow golden eyeliner. These brushes are some of the easiest to work with in my opinion, although of course you do need some practice when getting started with them. The pigmentation of Cockiness is really nice and is almost opaque with glitter in one go. Be sure to slowly create your line and take up more product as you need, because if you try and do several coats the bottom coat might start flaking or chipping in the process. In terms of wear this is impeccable: it did not budge all day through and kept the same vibrance all day through. Removing was easy enough, although the glitter does come if in chunks so be careful not to get them in your eye.

This collection is available online and in stores as we speak. The RiRI ♥ MAC Nail Lacquer retails for €14,50, the lipsticks for €19.50 and the liners for €22.00. And if you’re sad RiRi is leaving.. Don’t be! She’s been appointed the Viva Glam Spokesperson for 2014 and she’ll have a mini Viva Glam collection with a red lipstick (not RiRi Woo, sorry) & a Lipglass gloss.
