Dior Minauderie: Candy on your lips!

image

So finally, the day has come that I’m extremely smitten with a lipgloss again, to the point that I’m wondering where it’s been my whole life. Although that last part might be slightly exaggerated, I’m not kidding about the whole smitten thing. It’s a total coup de foudre & after typing out this article, I’m tucking it away in my purse again - pretty & safe. Please do warmly join me in welcoming this Dior Addict Gloss in Minauderie to my make-up purse life.

This baby pink Minauderie Dior Addict Gloss is a part of the European Trianon Collection for Spring 2014 - you won’t find this one in all regions, check your counter to see if the selection in your country holds two or four shades of glosses. The shade seems all off for me personally at first -I don’t do baby pink lips- but trying it on made me go all ooohh and aaaahh instantly. It’s not overdone when you see it on the lips, although it looks frighteningly glittery & pink in the tube. It doesn’t have the ‘your lips but better’ effect we often talk about when praising lip glosses, but you won’t look like a barbie doll either.

The swatch looks less glittery than the product in the tube, and on its turn the product looks much less glittery than in the swatch when you wear it on your lips. It does accentuate dry spots a little - in general during Winter my lips are quite dry as you can see. I’ve been scrubbing my lips since a few weeks now, and the difference is huge! I’d definitely recommend scrubbing during the Winter - but a separate article is to follow on that. Wearing time is as with any other gloss, it pretty much depends on what your doing. It won’t survive a meal, but might survive a gentle coffee. I wouldn’t wear the color with just any look - I’d certainly pair it with a pink blush. A black cat flick would make the total look absolutely divine - perhaps with a vague pastel wash underneath.

This Minauderie Dior Addict Lip Gloss is available in stores as we speak (stock has arrived, yay!) & retails for €32.00. Remember that it might not be available in your region, so check out the local line-up at a counter if you can! I still owe you a closer look on the mono eyeshadow Opaline from the collection (the middle swatch).. It’s not a colour that really suits me, but I’ll try my best to feature it as soon as possible!
