Rita Ora does nail polish with Rimmel
Thursday, April 24, 2014
Well, Rita, you definitely nailed this pop art collaboration. The special Rita Ora & Rimmel collection launched last March in several European countries, but of course I’m a bit late to the party again with the new products hitting Belgian drugstores only next week (from May on). There are twelve new 60 Second Nail Polish varnishes in her collection and they all carry fun names, with colours varying from a pale white to a very dark blackish red. The packaging isn’t much different than usual, except for the fun pop art inspired postal stamp on the lid of the bottle. The best thing about this particular nail varnish is how incredibly easy going it is. The brush is quite wide & flat which is my very favourite kind of brush & the formula really does dry super quickly. All colours are pretty decently pigmented, needing just one or two coats depending on the type of shade. On my hand you see the pink shade 323 Don’t Be Shy, the white shade 703 White Hot Love, the blackened red shade 313 Rita Rouge and the blue shade 823 Blindfold Me Blue. On my nails these last remarkably well too, so if your nails are in good condition I’d give this a good four days before tip wear will appear.
I’ve consistently liked these polishes ever since I first got introduced to them almost two years ago. The very best thing perhaps is the price - at just €3.99 a bottle, this is a true steal. Thanks for these, Rita & Rimmel!
