Fall In Rose - Guerlain Rose Grenat

Guerlain Rouge G Rose Grenat
So.. I’m still here! I held a rather unexpected week of blog sabbatical - but I can explain it all. I had to travel to Los Angeles for work and I hadn’t expected the jet lag to be as bad as it was - so that was the culprit. I felt fine during the day, but since I always woke up somewhere between 3AM and 6AM every day I was exhausted by the time I got back to the hotel after a busy day of work, dinner and socialising. Of course there’s also good news: I did a little hauling that I’ll show you soon! Today I’d just like to show off this gorgeous Guerlain pink lipstick (Rouge G) called Rose Grenat I’ve been totes smitten with - it’s the kind of color I’m often afraid to wear out, but this time I’ll make an effort and be brave!

Guerlain is adding a few new shades to their permanent Rouge G line up, and for the occasion and because of Summer’s starting soon they also threw in a couple of limited editions: Rose Grenat and Rose Glace. While Rose Glace seems to be a very sheer frosty light pink colour, Rose Grenat is the most vibrant and gorgeous hot red fuchsia pink you’ll have ever seen. Guerlain suitably named his pink mini-collection “Fall In Rose" ‘cause yes you will. The case -which is already beautiful on its own- is now even prettier sporting a pink body that matches the actual lipstick shade. If you want more pictures of how the packaging system works, check out this old post on Rouge G here. The formula is gorgeous as always - smooth, extremely pigmented, buttery and long-wearing. Yep, I have no bad words for this.
If there’s anything that’ll set you off on this lipstick, it might be the price. It’s quite out there at €45,70 - but as always I have been known to splurge on makeup and if you feel like doing so (or not doing so) that is completely up to you. If you’re contemplating purchasing this one, I’d recommend you to be quick as it might be sold out soon, being limited edition and all.
Enjoy your Sunday! I’ll be back soon with the last Japan posts, some Los Angeles hauling and more Summery prettiness..
