Lightweight & amazing: Caudalie S.O.S. Morning Eye Rescue

Eye care is one area that I apparently needed some more tutoring on.. I thought I had found the love of my eyes with the Estée Lauder Revitalizing Eye Supreme, but after a blogger friend suggested that it was maybe that cream causing some of my more recent milia around the eyes, I knew I might have to switch over to something lighter. So a bit sad to behaving to leave my beloved gold pot of eye cream behind, I started browsing brands to find the perfect match. Luckily right at that moment Caudalie released a new eye cream called S.O.S. Morning Eye Rescue. I’ve not had unpleasant experiences with Caudalie yet, so I was very excited to be able to try it out. It’s in a tube, which gave me high hopes for the consistency. And I was right! It’s very light weight, not at all creamy, a bit runny but not too much, .. It’s perfect for younger skin that is for now unable to take the rich eye creams that have been so popular lately.

I’ve been testing this one for a while now because I wanted to provide you with a decent opinion on it.. And now I can full on say that I down right love it. The formula is great for younger skins since it’s not too greasy. In fact it is very lightweight and it’s also free of all sorts of nasties; you won’t find any fragrance in this one for example. It’s plumped with the typical Caudalie goodness: grape water, anti-oxidant grape polyfenoles, white tea & there’s even some hyaluronic acid on the bottom of the ingredient list. I had some red blotchiness going on around the under eye area just before starting out with this one, and it’s completely disappeared now. My eye area has been as moisturized as with the thicker eye creams, but feels cooler and more ‘natural’. Apply this before you use your day cream since you want your eye area to soak up eye cream, not a mixture of day & eye cream.. Since this delicate area will absorb best whatever you slap on first.

Caudalie is a true skin care friend of mine; their S.O.S. Thirst-Quenching Serum is my favorite serum ever, and this eye cream is now my very favorite eye cream. It retails for about €18.50 or £16.20, which is not a steep price for a decent eye cream if you ask me. I’ll be checking out the price of this one in France, because I will need a second bottle in a couple of months. I’m not turning my back on this one, that’s for sure. :)
