I felt like rocking an extra special & exotic look for
Christmas eve, so I took out the
Crazy Paris palette by Guerlain and let it work its magic. After seeing over at
Sunny’s blog how gorgeous the pink shade of the palette combines with the copper & grey shades, I knew I would unexpectedly fall in love with this unusual palette. The pink & grey together create a gorgeous kind of purple & then adding the copper shade to it makes the whole look exotic, luxurious and pretty much perfect. And to think that I’m normally not a huge fan of color on the lids..

Apart from the palette, I used
MAC Cosmetics’ Studio Fix Fluid for a long-lasting base that wouldn’t shine all too quickly. To fix most imperfections and those horrible dark under eye circles I’ve been sporting, I used
Maybelline’s Age Rewind Concealer quite heavily underneath te eyes, on the red parts of my cheeks and on the bridge of my nose. After setting with
Chanel’s Vitalumière compact (not pictured), I used the gorgeous blush
MAC Cosmetics’ Pink Swoon, a shade I’ve totally fallen in love with. It’s the perfect pink to add a natural healthy flush to the cheeks without it looking tacky or doll-like. On the lips I’m wearing
MAC Cosmetics’ Viva Glam VI, a gorgeous nude pink with a hint of brown. It pairs beautifully with the rest of this look. As usual I finished the whole look with a luminous setting powder, this time with
Guerlain’s Crazy Pearls (review
here) to amplify that pink healthy flush. And as fragrance, as I had said before, I wore the gorgeous
Dior J’adore l’Or (review
here). I curled my hair with a Remington Curling Wand I bought a couple of months ago, I’ll do a post on it soon as it’s hands down the most amazing curling tool I’ve ever used! And it took me maybe 10 minutes to do.
I’m laying low the rest of today.. But if you have more family parties planned:
enjoy! And a quick tip for the Brits reading this today: at Selfridges the Crazy Paris palette (& the rest of the collection) is on sale at 50% off. It’s sadly already sold out online, but if you’re near to a Selfridges you could try and purchase it tomorrow morning first thing!
