The Perfect All-In-One: Chanel's Les Beiges Healthy Glow

Chanel’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi-Colour
Rewind to about a year ago - I saw some Instagrams and campaign images of the new Chanel Les Beiges range and ran to the store to splurge on one of the powders. It was the perfect treat on a gloomy Saturday afternoon after experiencing the same old “nothing ever fits me” blues tall girls like me can encounter when going clothes shopping. Nothing worse than wanting to buy a dress but not finding any that have the perfect length.. Which brings me to a little make-up crazy rule of thumb: while sometimes you won’t find a single dress you like, there’ll always be at least one blusher that’ll suit you perfectly, waiting for you at the perfumery.  It sounds a little bonkers, but hey.. It’s absolutely true. A year later, dresses are still running a bit short on my long legs.. but Chanel hasn’t stopped being my perfect fit. A new year, a new Les Beiges launch: the beautiful Healthy Glow Multi-Colour Powder.

The packaging is exactly the same as the previous powder compacts: a square classy case with a beige lid and a complementary half moon brush for on-the-go use. The big difference now is that these contain three shades in one compact: a highlighter, a bronzer and a blush. While in theory it’s perfectly possible to use all three shades separately, it’ll probably work out differently when actually using the palette. You could use just one half of the palette depending on the look you’re going for - but it’s also perfectly possible to dab into it with a big bronzer brush, swirl around and use all shades together. It’s the easiest way and quite perfect for mornings when you’re running late - but still very, very pretty and effortless. The powders aren’t super pigmented, which is actually nice as you literally can’t ever apply too much of this.

I like combining the bronzer and blush shade on my cheeks up to my temples, although adding just the blusher shade on the apples of my cheeks. I then carefully dab into the highlighter and use that on usual areas I like to highlight - it’s beautifully soft and definitely not a glitter bomb. The final result can be very subtle, or a little bolder, and looks very warm and pretty. Also, this one is PERFECT for pale girls like me! I’m thanking the heavens that finally these type of powders are also available in lighter shades. Ain’t nobody got time to  carefully use powders that are too dark - I’m sure you know what I mean. And to top it all off, there’s an SPF15 going on as well. So this.. Downright perfect. Thanks, Chanel!

Chanel’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi-Colour comes in two shades (of which I have the lightest, shade 01) and is limited edition. It’s been out for a month now, so if you’re looking to secure your own compact.. I wouldn’t wait too long. These retail for €52,00 and contain a generous 11 grams of product.
