Estée Lauder recently came out with a whole range of new eyeshadow palettes. You know that palettes are my nemesis (or well, one of them) in makeup, so I squealed a little when this one ended up on my desk. The new Pure Color Envy Sculpting Eyeshadow 5-Color palettes are designed to be used both dry and wet, and have five shades that'll take you from easy daytime office wear to clubbing proof party looks. I ended up trying one of the most neutral palettes Ivory Power.

Ivory Power is quite a neutral palette with a highlighter shade, a very neutral base color, a medium brown defining shade, a shimmery taupe and a dark brown liner shade. I find all of these to be rather cool toned on my skin, while I wasn't sure about how they'd turn out in the pan. Pigmentation of the whole palette was good, although the taupe colour did need some extra dipping in the pan to reach my desired color intensity. I used the darkest liner shade wet - just spray a little MAC Fix+ on your angled liner brush and you're good to go. Lasting power is pretty decent and will take you through the day, although I'd still use a primer underneath to intensify the colours. I really loved this soft daily look I did with an emphasised crease in which I used the taupe shade, although I must admit that this palette with its greyish tones is a little too cool for my liking.. It sadly does not work well with my dark under eye circles. This is definitely much more of a palette for cool shade lovers.
The Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Eyeshadow 5-Color (courtesy of Estée Lauder) palettes retail for €52.00/£40.00/$50.00 and come in 12 different color combinations.
