Bless the sun, the flowers that are popping out everywhere and the promise of Summer! We only need to get past that awkward Spring stage now where the sun can shine one moment and rain can pour down the next, but we're nearly there.. Yes! Summer also means new collections. And usually these are the most fun ones - bright colours combined with fun prints and packaging are almost always a hit here. Dior's Summer collection has a fun tie dye theme going and because of that win the prize of the best looking blush of the season. I didn't know I was back to loving tie dye (I remember a brief passage of being a tie dye addict as a kid in the nineties), but I'm back in the game again. What's not to love about that beautiful powder?

The stars of the collection are definitely the two beautiful Dior Nude Tan Tie Dye Edition blushes in the shades Pink Sunrise and Coral Sunset. Each blush contains a harmony of four different shades - the one I have (Coral Sunset) contains two shades or orange, a sandy beige and a warm pink. Lighter skin tones should opt for Pink Sunrise, while tanner skin tones can easily sport Coral Sunset. The blushes also come with a small white kabuki brush which is actually of great quality! Perfect to carry with you on the go. There are also six limited edition Dior Addict Tie Dye lipsticks and four new Dior Addict Fluid Sticks to be found in the collection. The Tie Dye lipsticks are definitely the most unique as they have the CD initials imprinted on the lipsticks. I thought these would be gone after just one use but it was a big surprise when I realised that the letters just run through the whole lipstick! I will be showing you the Tie Dye lipsticks in a separate post soon, so stay tuned for that. I can already divulge that I love the balmy formula. There are also four lovely Dior Vernis nail polishes in the collection, of which I have two that I'll also be showing you in yet another post. I am trying to keep my posts a little shorter so I can post more often - I hope you like that idea.

I find the texture of the Tie Dye blush amazing - it's really pretty much perfect. Finely milled, quite pigmented but not too pigmented and it stays put on me without turning patchy all day. I am wearing Coral Sunset in this picture, but I now have Pink Sunrise (I got it after these pictures were taken.. I'll try and feature it in a daily look post soon!) and I prefer that shade on me. That's a very personal opinion though as anyone who loves peachy blushes will absolutely love this one. If you're more tan than I am you could apply it more heavily - the beauty of this powder is that it blends in perfectly whether you're applying a thin layer or are building it up for a statement cheek. I would definitely say that this is only to be used as a blush though - it's way too warm for contouring and too peachy to be a bronzer.
Little side note: apart from that one pimple on my chin I was definitely having a good skin day in this picture! What a difference with where I was at just a year ago. I think it's partly thanks to a new wonder product I've been using at night, I have a post on it planned in the coming week. And now that things are better (*knocks on wood*) I will be doing a thorough acne post soon featuring some tips on how I dealt and still am dealing with adult acne.
