The Super Quick One Product Eye Look

The One Product Eye
Colour me addicted. I am a sucker for the one product eye (not including mascara), a go-to saviour for when I’m rushing through the morning and seriously can’t be bothered or don’t have the time to go smokey or cut crease chique. Which happens more or less about every weekday, so yeah.. I do this often. I’m in love with easy peasy cream & liquid eyeshadow products that make life easier. So much easier! It literally takes about a minute to apply these and blend them out on both eyes. If you’re a fan of the five minute makeup face.. then do read on.

I’m not too lazy. At least I like to think I’m not. But I’m madly in love with the snooze button.. If you have any tips and tricks not to snooze anymore, do let me know! But in the meanwhile, "The Snooze" doesn’t happen without "The Quick Makeup Face". My absolute favourite the past months has been the Maybelline Color Tatoo 24H in Bad To The Bronze, I picked this baby up in NYC and we’re still in our honeymoon phase. It applies super smoothly, stays vibrant all day through, doesn’t crease one bit and it’s super budget friendly.. It’s just about perfect! I also really like using MAC’s Pro Longwear Paint Pots, especially in Groundwork. It’s very subtle and therefor probably the quickest to apply - if you’re going for that “me? wearing makeup?”-look then this is the one for you. It’s also an awesome base for applying powder eyeshadow on, but that’s not the topic today.. Talking high end I’ll start out with Estée Lauder’s Shadow Paints, pictured here in the bronzy shade Chained. These dry really fast, are super pigmented and don’t crease. And they’re super creamy!

On my lids: Chanel Stylo Eyeshadow in Caroube

Chanel has lured me into the creamy eyeshadow department a while ago already with their beautiful Illusion d’Ombre in Fatal, a shade that makes my heart beat faster. You can use it sheer for a light veil of colour and glitter, but you can just as well build up pigmentation for a more intense look. This shade was sadly a limited edition and not available anymore, but there are plenty of other shades available and there are almost always a couple of new ones in new collections. Another Chanel gem comes straight from this year’s Summer makeup collection and should still be available: the Stylo Eyeshadow in the shade Caroube. Oh my it’s so pretty! You can see me wearing it in a full Chanel Summer look here & I added some closeups in this article too. It does tend to crease a little towards the end of the day, so if you do have a little spare time you could add a base underneath or if you trust your concealer you could work your concealer onto your lids first. Lastly I’ve also really been enjoying Giorgio Armani’s Eye Tint in Senso. The shade is pure perfection! It’s a little more liquid than the other eyeshadows featured in this post, so you gotta work in two stages here. I apply a first thin wash and work that into my crease too, and then add a little more on the moving eyelid for more intensity. This works beautifully and lasts all day through. A separate article on this product featuring more shades is following soon..

I’ve been discovering more of these one-minute gems lately, such as the new Burberry Eye Colour Creams. I don’t think I’ll shake this addiction soon. I now have one full Muji drawer with these little pots and another half drawer with the stylo versions..Who knows where it'll end!
