Burberry's Autumn Drop

Burberry autumn 2015 makeup
Burberry always puts a strong focus on very visibly linking their makeup collections to their runway collections, and it's no different this time. Their autumn/winter collection is inspired by the Burberry Womenswear "Patchwork, Pattern and Prints" collection, which was debuted last February in London. You'll find a lot of khaki shades in this one, but also some nudes and even a pop of gold. Some of the products are new, some were already in their regular collection but are just being highlighted for use this autumn and of course there are also three new limited editions items to be collected. I played around with a few of the limited edition items and stumbled upon a newfound love for army green nail polish..

The eye catcher of the collection must be their Runway Palette again, but even though their previous limited edition palettes have always been well loved and well used by your truly, this one seems to be more of a collector's item than something that is used easily. The pattern is beautiful but quite difficult to work with. If you're after a blended smokey look you'll be happy to use this one, but if you're looking to pick up just one of the shades it'll be a little tricky. The shades are quite sheer but blend well - I just wish they were a little more pigmented as this pattern doesn't call for excessive dabbing, it messes up the pattern..

Burberry autumn 2015 nail polishes
The nail polishes though have me completely smitten! Poppy Black No.299 is a permanent shade that is being highlighted for this season, and I completely agree that the most perfect time of the year to wear a black mani would be autumn. It has a beautiful glossy finish and looks very glamorous on. Khaki Green No.205 is a very pretty khaki green, while Cadet Green Red No.206 is a beautiful army green that I wouldn't pick for myself on first sight but really love on my nails. All three of these are opaque in two coats and have a very creamy and easy formula to work with.

The star of the collection might look to be the Runway Palette, but in my eyes the trio of nail polishes definitely deserves an honourable mention and perhaps even the grand prize when it comes to this particular collection. I don't usually venture towards greens, but these nail polishes are very pretty and a welcome change into my mani wardrobe!
