Aloha! Summer is fast approaching and that means I'm still cutting my hair shorter and shorter (seriously: that beachy messy long bob vibe.. I'm digging it) & I'm also still going stronger and stronger with my bronzer and highlight every day. I don't really tan as I'm always wearing SPF50, but that's nothing a good bronzer and highlighter can't fix.. A lot of brands are releasing their Summer collections as we speak & I've been trying a whole bunch of bronzers from the new collections - I promise to show you all of them soon. I'll be kicking off the summer collection season with Urban Decay's summer 2016 collection: there is some mad summer glow going on in there, so I couldn't wait any longer to share these with you..

The Urban Decay summer collection is basically made up of three key summer items that all come in various shades to suit your skin tone: the Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter, the Beached Bronzer and the Naked Skin One & Done blurring perfector cream. To finish off the collection Urban Decay also released two new eye pencils: the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Heartless (a frosty light pink) and the 24/7 Waterline Eye Pencil in Walk Of Shame (a nude shade).

The new Afterglow highlighters are the absolutely stars of this collection - they are quite something. I got the beautiful champagne shade "Sin" and it's just amazing. I think the pictures I took speak for themselves: my highlight is popping! The texture is great to work with: very buttery smooth and it glides on my skin & blends super easily. It also stays put pretty much throughout the whole day, so you'll be glowing all day long.
The Beached Bronzer has the prettiest packaging of the collection. Palm trees on my bronzer compact? Yes please! I got the lightest shade "Sun Kissed" which is the perfect match for my pale skin. On the picture I'm only wearing Sun Kissed & Sin - a combination so pretty it doesn't need any extra blush. The pigmentation is very generous, although this does ask for a little extra blending to make everything blend in flawlessly.
I also tried the Naked Skin One & Done on my skin, but as you know my skin is definitely not flawless and I still have quite a few acne scars and small impurities on my chin & jawline area after a bad episode of adult acne a couple of years ago. The Naked Skin One & Done does blur larger pores a little and takes away some of the redness on my cheeks, but on my skin it doesn't really make a huge difference. I would say this oil-free skin perfecter is a good option for anyone who doesn't feel like they need high coverage & only want some light perfecting and a light SPF20. Just so you know: I am not wearing the Skin One & Done in this picture.
