Another Chubby? Meet Clinique's Chubbby In The Nude Foundation Stick!

Clinique Chubby Foundation Review
I love a good foundation review, so I couldn't wait to share my findings about Clinique's new Chubby In The Nude Foundation Stick with you. It seems like Clinique is launching a Chubby of everything, but I'm not complaining as I've been smitten with the Chubby hype since day one. This new foundation stick promises easy light coverage which is buildable to a heavier coverage, with a soft creamy formula that wears well for 8 hours without settling into pores. Whew, that's a whole lot of promises. So does this new Chubby live up to them?

Clinique Chubby Stick Foundation Review
I found this one waiting for me when I came from holiday and I immediately felt like it would've been the perfect holiday handbag companion to have with me for small touch-ups. I must admit that I underestimated this foundation a little as I focused on the promise of sheer, natural coverage. You see, I have acne scars (and a recent new breakout, boo) that I want to cover. I don't mind going out without foundation, but when I use one I usually like it to be at least a medium coverage as I only use concealer under my eyes. But boy was I wrong to think of this new Chubby as another light "is it even there" summer base - this thing knows how to cover!

I used this foundation during our trip to the south of France for my bestie's wedding earlier this month and I must say that I quite liked the finish and coverage. I managed to take it to quite a full coverage using my new favourite foundation brush, the Oval 8 by Artis. Clinique promises the foundation wears for 8 hours and it lives up to that, but afterwards it does start to fade on me. Most people wear their foundation much longer than this though, so I wouldn't exactly call it long wearing. However the stick is easy enough to carry with you in your handbag and do touch-ups if needed. The finish is somewhere in between dewy and matte which does make it look quite natural. With oily or combination skin you'll see some shine come through on the T-zone, although it wasn't too bad on my (powdered off) combination skin. I've seen worse!

Clinique is launching 6 shades in Belgian stores, with an extra 4 shades added on the Clinique website. I'm wearing Intense Ivory which is the second lightest shade. The funny thing is that this is my version of being a little tan during the summer - during the winter I'd probably need to opt for Abundant Alabaster.
