Wow, the past week went by so fast! I've been struggling making my way through all of the new products that have been eagerly waiting to work their way to the blog, but here's a small overview of a few of the skin care products that I've been really liking the past few months. My skin has been acting up a little after doing some traveling and getting back into the daily routine of things, so it's a mix between products for a little extra hydration & products to perfect my skin and tackle that ever so pesky acne.
1/ Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief: I remember using this as a teen as I once got a sample of it when buying the Clinique 3 Step System which was then my favourite & go-to skin care routine. Clinique recently sent me a kit for the best Summer skin and included this gel cream for me to rediscover. This is amazing for my skin now that the air conditioning system in our office is working overtime and my skin is paying for that comfort. Hyaluronic acid amps up moisture levels in dehydrated skin, while the gel cream texture isn't too greasy for oilier skin types. (€18.00 for 30ml, c/o)
2/ Kiehl's Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque: Kiehl's recently launched two new face masks and after careful consideration I decided to take this one home with me after our introduction. This one is meant to brighten dull & tired looking skin (hello, that's me!) and give your skin a healthier and rosy look. Turmeric has antioxidant properties & improved brightness, while cranberry seed oil contains high levels of antioxidants and cranberry seeds provide a natural exfoliation. I leave the mask on for ten minutes and try to use it at least once a week - the results are instantly visible! (€34.00 for 75ml, c/o)
3/ Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet: Marketed as a savior for sensitive skin, this very lightweight watery gel moisturiser calms and soothes skin while restoring the skin's water reserves. Formulated with organic grape water, patented polyphenols and chamomile, it's been my go-to moisturiser throughout Spring and into Summer. Stay tuned for a review of all four re-introduced Caudalie Vinosource products, as there are two others in the line that I've also been using off an on! (€24.60 for 40ml, c/o)
4/ L'Occitane Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Toner: As the picture shows the bottle is almost empty, and with good reason! I already wrote about my love for the L'Occitane Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Cream here, and also this peony infused toner does not disappoint. With glycerin as the second ingredient on the list it's bound to be a water magnet that'll tackle dehydrated skin, while that special peony extract softens and tones the skin. (€17.00 for 200ml, c/o)
5/ Guerlain Stop Spot Anti-Blemish Treatment: Guerlain launched their 'My Supertips' range a few months ago and this is their super tip to combat blemishes. I took this one with me on holiday to Florida, but bearing in mind that anti-blemish treatments can easily be quite the miss I still also carried my usual acne fighters with me. Luckily it did not disappoint! This treatment is an adaptation of a popular creme that was created by Guerlain back in 1870: Crème Camphrea. The texture reminds me of Inotyol creme (which I'd also dare to apply to pimples because of the active zinc oxide): it's thick and sticky, so it's definitely a very local treatment for any spots that cause you trouble. Camphor will disinfect, zinc will dry out active acne & salicylic acid will lightly exfoliate. The cream is lightly tinted, but doesn't really work as a concealer on my skin as I'm too pale. I use it mainly as a night treatment, but keep in mind that it will stain your pillow! (€31.00 for 15ml, c/o)
6/ Caudalie Eau De Beauté: I've owned multiple of these bottles before, but have always used them as a toning spray. For some reason I recently applied it over my makeup as a setting spray and I was ah-mazed. Not sure how to explain the effect - it looks like it meshes together all makeup, makes it glowy but not oily and makes my look flawless, smooth and radiant. It contains grape, rosemary and peppermint oil (shake it well before use!) and has a very refreshing effect. I need to find myself a mini to carry with me everywhere, stat! (€37.00 for 100ml, c/o)
Hope you have a great Sunday! I've been loving the sun peeping through the past few days, it really makes all the difference. I love being outside and soak up the summer air & sun, it gives me the energy to be more productive for the blog when I am home at night. It's been a little hard getting back into the routine of things after an amazing holidays and some great leisure and work trips, but I'm getting there!
