The Orgasm Look

After years of waiting for this special moment.. It's finally here. I know this sounds overly dramatic for makeup, but hey.. this is one of my favourite brands. NARS is now available in Belgium! They launched their very first counter in luxury perfumery & beauty store Parfuma in Antwerp. NARS is a brand that has brought me many favourites: my favourite full coverage foundation, my favourite concealer, my favourite blush that has sadly been discontinued, .. and there is still so much to try! So to celebrate I made a full look with their fan favourite Orgasm blush (which has now kindly replaced Douceur's spot as favourite blush), using both the regular powder blush and the "The Multiple" creamy stick.

BASE:
To start off I apply the NARS Multiple in Orgasm on my cheeks and blend this out with a soft stippling brush. This will amplify the powder blush we'll use later on, but also provide a ton of luminosity. As a base I used Bourjois' Healthy Mix foundation, as I've been experimenting with lighter coverage foundation recently. It also pairs beautifully with the MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skinfish Natural finishing powder, which for full disclosure sadly does not pair well with all of my foundations. For concealing I go a little overboard: I use the Instant Age Rewind in both Light and Brightener: Light goes on my under eye circles, while Brightener goes right underneath (slightly above the cheekbones) to lift the area. On my chin, nose and between and above my eyebrows I use the Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define concealer in C2 or C3. I sadly can't use this concealer around my eye area as it's too drying.

CHEEKS:
To give my cheekbones a kickstart, I do some light contouring with the MAC Cosmetics Sculpting Powder in Sculpt - I have the Maleficent edition, but you'll also find this shade permanently in PRO stores. I follow up with warming my face (cheekbones, temples, around the nose, underneath my jaws) with the MAC Cosmetics Bronzing Powder in Golden. Again, I have the limited edition Brooke Candy version but this one is available in regular packaging permanently as well. On my cheeks I'm wearing the beautiful NARS Orgasm Blush. Finally I apply highlighter on the bridge of my nose & my cheekbones. I've been really loving Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze & Glow duo, of which I only used the Glow side for this look.

EYES:
On my eyes I used Clinique's Neutral Territory 2 palette, starting off with one of the neutral shades as a base. The darker shade Black Honey is absolutely beautiful to work with - I used it in the crease and outer corner of the moving eyelid. To tie together the look I also used NARS Orgasm Blush on the moving eyelid. If you'd like some more shimmer, you could also use the NARS Multiple in Orgasm as a base for the eyes. I combined both colours underneath my lower lash line (well smoked out) as well. For inner corner highlight I again used Charlotte Tilbury's Glow highlighter. On my lashes I used my beloved Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. For brows I used the NYX Precision Brow Pencil in Ash Brown. They do need a bit of a trim judging by these pictures..

Closeup Nars Orgasm
I've been happily using the NARS Orgasm blush daily now, it compliments my pale skin tone beautifully. On my list for other NARS products to try out..? The new Radiant Longwear Foundation, the iconic Sheer Glow Foundation, the Smooth & Protect SPF50 Primer to pair with my NARS foundation & the fan favourite NARS Bronzer in Laguna. NARS also does beautiful limited edition collections, often with amazing eye shadow palettes. Enough to try out for years to come!
